Butter Biscuits
Ingredients
2 cups all purpose flour
1 Tbsp baking powder
1 Tbsp granulated sugar
1 tsp salt
6 Tbsp unsalted butter, cold
3/4 cup whole milk
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 425F.
2. In a large bowl combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
3. Cut butter into the flour mixture until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
4. Add milk and stir until combined, careful not to over-work the dough.
5. Transfer biscuit dough to a well floured surface, using hands gently work the dough together.
6. Flatten dough to 1” thick and using a round biscuit cutter cut out 12 biscuits.
7. Place biscuits onto a rectangular baking sheet.
8. Bake for 12 minutes or until tops are light golden brown.
9. If desired, brush with butter immediately after removing from oven. Serve warm and enjoy!
