Hi! I’m Sherry.
My professional wellness journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Health Education from Brigham Young University. While studying at BYU, I met my husband Christopher, and shortly after we married, we moved to Hawaii to start our family. During this time, we found ourselves in an unexpected spiritual reckoning around our Mormon faith. The unraveling was painful, but ultimately liberating—leading us back to the mainland in search of healing and a life that felt more honest and true.
For a long time, I vowed never to believe in anything mystical again. But one day, a friend showed me her astrological natal chart, and something inside of me began to stir. Somewhat resistant but insatiably curious, I quickly became enthralled by astrology: its symbolism, its startling accuracy, and its deep philosophical implications. What began as a reluctant intrigue soon became a dedicated study. I started with Astrology University and later transferred to The Academy of AstroPsychology to further explore the intersection between psyche and soul.
Astrology helped me rebuild my identity after losing the one I had been handed. It offered me language for my inner world, a mirror for my unique being, and a symbolic map for my unfolding purpose. As a woman who was once told her only purpose was to be a wife and mother, astrology helped propel me into my full complexity—to create and contribute something to this world that is uniquely me.
Astrology also reconnected me to something greater than myself— something real, measurable, and trustworthy: nature, rhythm, and cosmic patterns. After losing my faith, community, and spiritual framework, I not only felt embedded within something larger, but for the first time in my life, I felt truly seen, like my life was not a tragedy after all, and like a love-note in the stars was whispering for me to trust myself.
Another defining thread in my story is dance. I didn’t have the fortune to train as a child, so I pursued it as an adult—studying tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, and modern dance at BYU and Santa Barbara City College, teaching Zumba and Barre as a group fitness instructor, and learning belly dance through online training with Melissa Belly Dance in the UK.
These experiences ultimately inspired me to create a new style of movement called, “chill-hop”. Merging traditional belly dance movements with modern lofi music, chill-hop is a gentle style of dance designed to ground the body and mind into a rhythmic meditative flow that nurtures feminine softness and sensuality. In a culture that had disconnected me from my own sensuality, chill-hop helped me reclaim my feminine power— and I feel honored to offer it as a path for others to do the same.
Beyond astrology and dance, I’ve long been drawn to the rhythm of slow and intentional living. To me this is self-love at it’s finest—moving my body with care, crafting meals that nourish, shaping spaces that feel like sanctuary, guiding my children with presence, and honoring the solitude that feeds my soul. Even as a child, I sensed this call to align with love; yet only through the turning of years have I come to better understand what that alignment looks like, and I know there is still so much more for me to learn.
But one truth I do know, captured so simply in the words of as Oscar Hammerstein II:
“A bell’s not a bell ‘til you ring it — A song’s not a song ‘til you sing it — Love in your heart wasn’t put there to stay — Love isn’t love ‘til you give it away.”
May we all find rest in the gentle power of love.
Thank you for being here.
My hope is that the wisdom, resources, and community you find here will support you in remembering who you are, rewriting the stories that no longer serve you, and coming home—body, mind, and soul.
